Material exploration and experimentation which is cross-disciplinary and cross-material in nature aims to address contemporary issues through the lens of material practice. The practice is one of material experimentation with the intention to discover and develop new techniques and processes. A material practice which focuses on the process; the direct experience of using and making with materials; how materials are used in creative works, design, and production; how new opportunities and ideas may evolve through reflective practice.

A material practice concerned with a cross-disciplinary approach to understanding the qualities and potential of different physical materials including textiles, concrete, and glass whilst exploring new boundaries through experimentation. To develop and expand material thinking in both making and using materials including an understanding of the evolving nature of material practice and digital fabrication. The blending of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technologies which enables the exploration of new boundaries while developing an understanding of the potential of the materials and techniques.
